Refund & Cancellation Policy

We want you to feel taken care of. This page explains how refunds, cancellations, and failed generations are handled. Read it once and you'll know where you stand. It is published in line with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and Razorpay's payment-aggregator requirements.

1. The short version

• Free tier — there is nothing to refund.
• Unused credits — fully refundable for 7 days from purchase.
• Used credits — non-refundable, because the image was delivered.
• Failed generations — credit is automatically returned to your wallet.
• No subscriptions, no auto-renewal, no surprise charges.

2. Free tier

Three generations a day at 1K resolution, forever, no card. Since you have not paid us anything, there is nothing to refund. If you decide it is not for you, just stop using the service or delete your account from /profile.

3. Credit packs

You can request a refund for any unused credits within seven (7) days of purchase. To request one, email hello@ongrid.design from the email address on your account, with the subject line "Refund — [Razorpay order ID]". Include the order ID, the date of purchase, and a one-line reason if you are comfortable sharing.

Once approved, we initiate the refund within two (2) business days. Razorpay then processes it back to your original payment method, which typically takes a further five (5) to seven (7) business days depending on your bank or UPI provider. We will email you a confirmation when the refund is initiated.

The refund amount will be the rupee value of the credits you have not yet spent, calculated against the pack price you originally paid. We do not deduct payment-gateway fees from your refund.

4. Used credits

A credit becomes "used" the moment we hand you a successfully generated image. Used credits are not refundable, because the digital good has been delivered to your account. If you are unhappy with the artistic result, that does not by itself entitle you to a refund — AI image generation is probabilistic, and we make no promise about a specific outcome from a given prompt. You can, of course, generate again.

5. Failed generations

Elevations uses a two-phase credit deduction. We reserve the credit when you press generate, and we only commit it once the image has actually been produced and stored. If the model fails, the upstream API errors out, or anything goes wrong on our side, the reserved credit is released back to your wallet automatically — usually within seconds, and always within a few minutes. You do not need to email us. If a failure does not auto-refund within ten minutes, write to us and we will fix it manually.

6. Disputed charges

If you see a charge from "Razorpay * Ongrid" on your statement that you do not recognise, please email hello@ongrid.design first. In most cases we can resolve it directly within twenty-four hours. If we cannot agree, you may also raise a dispute through your bank or card network, and Razorpay's chargeback process will apply.

7. No subscriptions

Elevations does not offer subscriptions. We do not store your card on file. We do not auto-renew anything. Every credit-pack purchase is a one-time, one-click, fully consensual transaction. You will never be billed for something you did not actively buy.

8. GST and taxes

All prices on Elevations are in Indian Rupees and are inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST) at the applicable rate. Refunds are issued for the full amount you paid, GST inclusive. We can issue a tax invoice on request — email hello@ongrid.design with your order ID and your billing details (name, address, and GSTIN if you have one).

9. Cancellation

You can stop using Elevations at any time. There is nothing to cancel because there is no recurring billing. To delete your account and all associated data, follow the steps in our Privacy Policy. Account deletion does not, by itself, refund any unused credits beyond the 7-day window — please request the refund first, then delete.
