How it works

Three steps to a direction you trust.

About two minutes
01

Pick a direction.

Six full presets — walls, roof, openings, lighting, region. Start from whichever feels closest. Tune any of it after.

  • · Modern Indian · Contemporary · Kerala
  • · Goan Portuguese · Rajasthani Haveli · Minimalist

02

Watch it draw.

A photorealistic render in under a minute. The phases tick by — walls, colour, light, shadow — so the wait is something to read.

  • · Setbacks, climate, BHK — handled for you
  • · Watermarked render, yours to keep

02 · WALLS
Drawing the lime-plastered walls.
About 40 seconds left
Output · 2048 × 1152 Narrated phases · 01 – 07
03

Tune any detail.

Walls, roof, windows, doors, mood, camera. Every choice is a photo tile, not a dropdown. Tap a material to swap it. Try five directions. Keep the ones your family agrees on.

  • · The strip remembers every render in your session
  • · Free written report from the studio — after your first render

The moat

Built on the vocabulary your grandmother knows.

Pinterest doesn't have the word for Mangalore tile. Most image tools haven't either. They don't know laterite from terracotta. They don't know what a chajja does in June rain. We do. The studio that drew this tool draws homes like yours every week.

Mangalore tile
Sloped clay roof tile, South India
Laterite
Porous red stone, Kerala coast
Yellow sandstone
Honey stone, Rajasthani havelis
Kota black stone
Dark limestone, Kota
Burma teak cladding
Tropical hardwood lattice
Terracotta jali
Clay lattice for cross-ventilation
Lime plaster
Breathable traditional plaster
Deep cantilever
Overhang that handles monsoon rain
Brick jali
Terrace edge with airflow cuts
Red sandstone
Warm red stone, Mughal architecture

Your grandmother would name all of these. Most other tools cannot.

Who lands here

Four ways into the same tool.

01

Building your first house?

Try a direction. Try another. Walk into your first meeting knowing what you want — and what you don't.

02

Can't agree at home?

Render both directions side by side. Pin the ones the family votes for. The argument ends when everyone can see the thing.

03

Planning from abroad?

Brief your architect over video with a render on the screen. Fewer round-trips. Less translating “modern” into what you actually mean.

04

Renovating an old home?

Start from the elevation your house already has. Swap the material, the roof, the windows. See the re-skin before you pay the mason.

FAQ

Questions homeowners actually ask.

Q.01 Are the images real? Can I build from them? +
They are photorealistic, not construction drawings. Treat them like a mood board — a direction, not a blueprint. When you are ready to build, an architect will translate the direction into something your mason can work from.
Q.02 What do I get for free? +
Three renders a day. No card. Save them, share them, take them to a designer. If Elevations is not for you, walk away with the images — they are yours.
Q.03 Who is behind this? +
Ongrid Design — an online architecture studio. We built Elevations because too many homeowners arrived at their first design meeting unsure of what they wanted. Now they do not have to.
Q.04 What is the written report? +
Six pages from an Ongrid Design architect, walking through what is buildable on your plot and what would need rethinking. No follow-up calls, no pressure. Free for everyone — one per account, no credit pack needed.
Q.05 Is this replacing architects? +
No. Elevations is the room you explore directions in. Ongrid Design is the studio that draws what you have decided you want — structural drawings, BOQs, the build itself.
What this is, and isn't

Elevations is where exploration happens.
Ongrid Design is where building happens.

Start here, free. When you want blueprints, BOQs, and a designer who will sit with you, walk across to ongrid.design. The studio that drew this tool will be the one to draw your home.
